MRO Agreement renewal

We are pleased to announce that the MRO Direct Billing Scheme Agreement, introduced nearly two years ago, is to be extended for a further year.

Designed to provide predictability for the cost of medical evidence and to streamline the recoverability of costs for the provision of medical reports in personal injury claims, the Agreement currently has 45 insurers and 57 medical reporting organisations (MRO's) as signatories.

The agreement provides direct billing to insurers for medical reports, allowing third party insurers to pay medical fees directly for Orthopaedic, A & E and GP reports where damages are typically less than £15,000.

The renewed agreement applies to all invoices issued on or after 2nd April 2009.
